historic preservation

In the spring of my fourth year, I took a seminar on historic preservation. In addition to learning about the topic itself, my class prepared documents for the Edgewood Golf Course Clubhouse/Manning Memorial Shelter in accordance with the specifications mandated by the National Register of Historic Places. When completed, the documents were given to the Fargo Park District as a gift for the new Edgewood Golf Course Clubhouse.

In this project, I assumed the roles of architect and developer. Following a visit to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus, my team and I developed a master plan for an area known as Stadium Village. The master plan that emerged focused on nature, the university building vernacular, and the inclusion of a proposed light rail line. Once complete, I proposed a development for the area.
